Terms of use

Last updated: 10 October 2026v1.2

These terms are the agreement between you and Sessio. They cover who may use the application, what you must do before you record a client, what an AI-generated note is worth, how plans and payment work, and what happens when either side stops.

The agreement

By installing or using Sessio you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the application. If you use Sessio on behalf of a practice, you confirm that you may accept these terms for it.

The Privacy policy is part of this agreement and describes how data is handled.

Sessio is operated by Igor Tomko, an individual based in Brazil, trading as Sessio. In these terms “Sessio”, “we” and “us” mean him.

Who may use Sessio

  • Sessio is built for practising therapists, psychologists, counsellors and coaches. You confirm that you are qualified to do the work you use it for.
  • You must be of legal age in your country and able to enter into a contract.
  • Access may be limited by invitation or by country while the product is in early access. We may grant, delay or withdraw access at our discretion.
  • Your account is yours alone. Do not share credentials; if you work in a practice, each practitioner needs their own account.

Consent to record — your responsibility

Sessio records and processes conversations with people who are not our users. Before recording or uploading a session you must obtain the client's informed consent, in the form your profession and your local law require, and tell them that a third-party service produces the transcript.

You are also responsible for what you upload: only submit recordings you are permitted to submit, and only keep in the app what you are permitted to keep. Sessio cannot verify any of this and does not act as your compliance officer.

What the AI output is

  • Sessio produces a draft. Transcripts and notes contain errors: misheard words, missing context, a sentence attributed to the wrong speaker, a conclusion the conversation does not support.
  • You review the draft, correct it and decide what to keep. The record is yours and so is the professional judgement in it.
  • Sessio is a note-taking tool. It does not give advice or make decisions for you, and it does not replace your professional judgement or supervision.
  • Nothing in the product should be read as professional, legal or regulatory advice.
  • Sessio does not evaluate, score or categorise people. Summaries, client portraits and highlighted themes are drawn from what was said in your sessions, and you check and change them; the product takes no automated decisions about you or your clients.

Acceptable use

Do not use Sessio to:

  • record people who have not consented, or record conversations you have no right to record;
  • resell, sublicense or provide the service to third parties as your own;
  • reverse engineer the application, work around access limits, or attack the infrastructure;
  • upload malicious files, or content unrelated to your professional practice;
  • automate access at a volume that degrades the service for others.

We may suspend an account that breaks these rules, and will tell you why when we do.

Who owns what

  • Your content stays yours: recordings, transcripts, notes, client records and files. We claim no ownership of them.
  • You grant Sessio the permission needed to run the service on your content — to store it, transmit it to the providers listed in the Privacy policy, and generate transcripts and drafts for you. That permission ends when you delete the content or close the account.
  • Sessio, its software, design, brand and documentation remain ours. Using the product does not transfer them to you.
  • If you send us feedback, we may act on it without obligation to you.

Processing your clients' data

For your clients' data you are the controller and Sessio is your processor. This section is our data processing agreement with you, in the sense of Article 28 of the GDPR and Article 39 of Brazil's LGPD.

  • We process it only on your instructions: to store it, transcribe it and produce the drafts, summaries and exports you ask for, and for nothing of our own. Using the app and its settings is how you give those instructions.
  • Anyone at Sessio with access to it is bound by confidentiality, and opens it only when you ask for support, or when security or the law requires it.
  • We protect it with the measures described under Security in the Privacy policy.
  • We use the subprocessors listed in the Privacy policy. We announce a change to that list before it applies; if you object, you may close your account.
  • We help you answer your clients' requests to access, correct or delete their data, mostly through the export and delete tools in the app.
  • If a breach affects your clients' data, we tell you without undue delay, with what we know, so you can meet your own obligations.
  • When you delete content or close the account, your clients' data is deleted as described in the Privacy policy.
  • On request we give you the information you need to show that these obligations are met.

Plans, payment and limits

  • Current plans, session allowances, per-session prices and monthly caps are published on the pricing page and shown in the app before you subscribe.
  • Paid plans renew monthly until cancelled. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the plan stays active until the end of the period already paid. Refunds are described in the Refund policy.
  • Usage beyond the included allowance is sold in packs of 10 sessions; when a pack runs out, the next one is charged automatically, up to the monthly cap of your plan where the plan defines one.
  • Pay-as-you-go has no subscription and is sold in packs of 10 sessions. A single session cannot be bought on any plan; sessions from a pack do not expire.
  • Prices are in US dollars and may change. We announce a change before it applies to your next period. Sales tax or VAT, where it applies, is calculated at checkout and added to the price.
  • Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries related to payment and handles returns.
  • Technical limits — the maximum length of a single recording, supported file formats, supported platforms — are described on the site and can change as the product develops.

Availability and early access

Sessio is a young product in active development. Features appear, change and occasionally break. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, a fixed processing time, or that a specific feature will keep existing in its current form. There is no service level agreement.

Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. Notes and client summaries export to PDF and Markdown from inside the app.

Liability

Sessio is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profit, or for damage arising from a decision taken on the basis of an AI-generated draft. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded under the law that applies to you, including consumer rights.

Ending the agreement

  • You may stop using Sessio at any time and ask us to delete your account.
  • We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or if we discontinue the service; in the latter case we give reasonable notice so you can export your work.
  • After closure your content is deleted as described in the Privacy policy.

Governing law

Sessio is operated from Brazil, and Brazilian law governs this agreement. Where the law of your country of residence gives you mandatory consumer protections, those remain available to you.

Changes to these terms

We update these terms as the product changes. The date at the top always shows the current version, and material changes are announced in the app or by email before they apply.
