How we use your data
In short: what happens to your answers to a test.
- What data
- Your answers to the test questions and the total score. Answers to tests about how you feel, such as the PHQ-9, are health data. If you ask for your result by email, also your email address.
- Why
- To calculate your result and, if you ask, to send it to your email. We do not use your answers for advertising, newsletters or anything else.
- Where we process it
- The score is calculated in your browser. Until you ask for an email, your answers and score are not sent to Sessio servers and are not stored anywhere. If you close or refresh the page, they are gone.
- If you ask for an email
- Your answers, your address and the country for the helpline numbers go to the Sessio server. The server recalculates the score, writes the email and sends it through the email service Resend. We do not store your answers or your address. To limit the number of emails, we keep fingerprints of the email address and the IP address for up to three hours; the addresses cannot be recovered from them. Resend keeps a copy of the email for 30 days and then deletes it.
- Who sees the result
- Only you: on your own screen, and in the email if you asked for one.
- What Sessio sees
- That a test page was opened, the test was started and finished, and the result was sent by email. No answers, score, level or address. As on every page of sessio.health, this comes with the device type, the country based on your IP address, where you came from, and an identifier valid for one day that cannot be used to find out your IP address. We do not use cookies.
- How to withdraw consent
- Before the email is sent, close the page: your answers disappear with it. After it is sent, your answers are no longer on Sessio servers, and Resend deletes its copy of the email after 30 days. You can send questions about data to support@sessio.health.
- Legal basis
- Your explicit consent (GDPR and UK GDPR, Article 9(2)(a), where they apply).
If a therapist sent you the test
- What data
- Your answers and the total score, which is health data. Also the therapist's name, your name or initials and the greeting the therapist entered in the form.
- Why
- To pass the result to the therapist who sent the link. We do not use it for ads or mailings.
- Where it is kept
- While you answer, the answers stay only in your browser, so you can continue later. A draft older than a day is erased the next time you open sessio.health. After you press “Send answers”, they are kept on Sessio's servers.
- How long we keep it
- 30 days after the result email went to the therapist, then we delete it. If the therapist did not confirm their email, we delete the answers 14 days after the link was created. If the link came from the Sessio app, the result is kept in the client record until the therapist deletes it.
- Who sees it
- The therapist who sent the link: the result goes only to the address they confirmed. Answers, scores and names never reach analytics.
- How to withdraw consent
- Before sending, just close the page. After sending, write to support@sessio.health: we will delete the answers within 3 working days.
