Shelves by approach

Each approach with a shelf of its own: textbooks, classics and guides in English.

An approach gets its own shelf once it has at least eight good books in English that training programs recommend. The others stay as a filter on the main shelf.

Reading lists

Shelves by task rather than method: study, diagnosis and attachment.

Authors

The books of the major authors in psychotherapy and which one to read first.

How we build the shelves

An English edition for every book

We matched each edition against its Amazon.com listing: title, author and, for print editions, ISBN. The descriptions are ours: what the book covers and when it helps in practice.

Place = number of recommendations

For now the order of the shelf is editorial. Later a book's place will depend on how many professional sources recommend it: training programs, association reading lists and university courses.

Next: therapists' votes

Therapists in Sessio will be able to mark the books that help in their practice. One account, one vote.

An assistant for your practice. Sessio takes care of your notes, client history, schedule and website.

See how it works

Store links go through sessio.health/go/: an English edition opens on Amazon.com, other editions in the store of their language. The book descriptions are written by the Sessio team.
