Shows how much worry is part of your life: how often it starts and how hard it is to stop. It is not a diagnosis.

What it measures

The Penn State Worry Questionnaire (PSWQ) measures the tendency to worry: how often, how much and how uncontrollably. It is widely used in research on generalized anxiety. Each answer scores 1 to 5 points, five statements are scored in reverse, and the total runs from 16 to 80.

This is not a diagnosis

The questionnaire describes a habit of worrying, not a disorder. Generalized anxiety is diagnosed by a professional after a conversation.
