Big Five personality test

Gives a quick picture of five broad personality traits: how outgoing, warm, organized, calm and open to new things you see yourself.

What it measures

The Ten-Item Personality Inventory (TIPI) by Gosling, Rentfrow and Swann is a very short measure of the Big Five: extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, emotional stability and openness to experiences. Each trait is the average of two ratings from 1 to 7, one of them reversed.

This is not a verdict

Ten ratings give only a rough sketch, and there are no good or bad traits. Longer questionnaires describe personality in more detail.
