Tests for clients

Send a test to your client
and see the answers

Sending tests to clients by link in Sessio: in the client's card you pick one of the scales (six in all), copy the link and pass it on. The client answers without an account, and you see the score and every answer in the Tests tab of the web version. A test is a screening, not a diagnosis.

Works in the web version of Sessio. The Tests tab is not in the Mac app yet. Sessio is free during the beta.

Scales

Six scales
you can send to a client

Sessio offers only scales whose licence allows sending them to a client. The list is as of the check date in the Limits section.

TestQuestions, languages and what you see
Depression test (PHQ-9)9 questions, about 3 minutes. All seven languages. Five levels from minimal to severe. If item 9 (thoughts that you would be better off dead or of hurting yourself in some way) is answered above zero, the card flags it.
Anxiety test (GAD-7)7 questions, about 2 minutes. All seven languages. Four levels from minimal to severe.
Adult ADHD test (ASRS-6)6 questions, about 2 minutes. Six languages, all except Ukrainian. Result: below or above the screening threshold.
PTSD test (PCL-5)20 questions, about 5 minutes. All seven languages. In English the result is below or above the cut-off; in the other languages you see the score only, without a level. Russian, French and Ukrainian are unofficial Sessio translations; the Spanish one is an official translation that has not been validated.
Autism test for adults (RAADS-14)14 questions, about 4 minutes. English and Russian. English: below or above the screening threshold; Russian: four levels.
Self-esteem test (Rosenberg Scale)10 questions, about 2 minutes. English, Russian and Ukrainian. English and Ukrainian: three levels; Russian (an unofficial Sessio translation): the score only.

How it works

From choosing a test to the result
in five steps

A link works for 14 days and takes one set of answers.

If the 14 days pass with no answer, the row is marked "link expired" and "Send again" makes a new link.

  1. Open the Tests tab. In the client's card open the Tests tab and press "Send test". The list follows the approaches set in your profile; if none match, all six tests are shown.
  2. Choose a test and a language. The list shows the number of questions and the time. If the test exists in several languages from your profile, pick the test language. Sessio creates the link.
  3. Copy the link and send it. Press "Copy" and send the link to the client in a messenger or by email. Then press "Link sent": the row "awaiting answer" appears in the tab.
  4. The client answers. The client opens the link, ticks the consent to pass the answers to you and takes the test. After "Send answers" the link closes. Until then you see nothing.
  5. See the result. The tab shows the score; the result opens with the level, "Answers by item" and, if the test was taken more than once, the chart "How the score changed". A letter with the result also goes to your account email.

Limits

What the tests do
and what they do not claim

Tests in Sessio are screening questionnaires. They show how a client rates their state, but they do not replace your assessment and do not make a diagnosis.

Does

  • Send a scale by link (six in all); the client needs no account.
  • Show the score, the level of the scale where it has one, and the answer to every item.
  • Flag item 9 of the PHQ-9 in the card and show the client emergency help contacts.
  • Draw a chart of the score when the same test was taken several times.
  • Close a link nobody answered (the client sees "The link is closed") and delete a result.

Does not promise

  • A diagnosis. A screening score does not replace your own assessment.
  • Any test from the site's catalogue: only scales whose licence allows it are offered.
  • Send the link for you: Sessio creates it, you pass it on.
  • A level in every language version: some translations, such as the Russian Rosenberg Scale, give the score only.
  • The Mac app 0.35.0: the Tests tab is not in it yet, only in the web version.
  • Keep the link from anyone it was forwarded to: whoever has it can answer once, so send it to the client only.

Checked against the code of the Sessio web version and the site's test list, 1 November 2026. The Mac app 0.35.0 has no Tests tab.

Questions

Tests for clients: answers

How to send a test by link, what you see afterwards and how the link is protected.

How do I send a client a test by link?

In the client's card open the Tests tab, press "Send test", choose a scale, copy the link and send it to the client yourself. After "Link sent" the row "awaiting answer" appears. The Tests tab is in the web version of Sessio today.

Do I or my client need an account?

The client does not: they answer in a browser. You need a Sessio account for the Tests tab. Without one, a test page on the Sessio site has a "Send to a client" form: the result goes to your confirmed email, and the client is shown on the test page how long Sessio keeps the answers.

What do I see when the client has answered?

You see the score, the level of the scale where it has one, and each answer with its points. For the PHQ-9 the card flags item 9 if it is answered above zero. If the test was taken more than once, a chart shows the score by date. A letter with the result also goes to your account email.

How safe is the link and how long does it work?

The link is a random string of 22 characters that works for 14 days and takes one set of answers. Anyone who has it can answer, so send it to the client only. The page is hidden from search engines, and an unanswered link can be closed with "Delete link".

How long is a result kept and who sees it?

A result stays in the client's card until you delete it with "Delete result", which erases the score and answers from the card and the server. The client does not see the score on the test page; the result comes to you.

Can a test result be used for a diagnosis?

No. A test is a screening: the score and the level are a reason to talk, not a diagnosis, and they do not replace your own assessment. The conclusions are yours.
